Creating safety stock setting at network level

You can create the safety stock at network level that defines the amount of safety stock to withhold either as fixed number or as percentage of available inventory across all the nodes within the network.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Inventory (Inventory icon that looks like 3 boxes stacked on top of each other beside a single box) and select Safety stock rules.
  3. Click Create rule.
  4. Select Network-level or Node-level aggregate.
    Network-level settings
Select the safety stock definition as % of available inventory or Fixed value.
    % of available inventory
    1. Enter the value of percentage of available inventory.
    2. Select Round-down or Round-up.
    3. OptionalEnter the Minimum or Maximum value of the percentage of available inventory.
    Fixed value
Enter the value in number for inventory availability.
    Node-level aggregate
The node-level aggregate option allows you to set the single safety stock value for the network by aggregating the safety stock values from all the individual node-level safety stock rules.
OptionalIf Node type override is enabled, you can set the single safety stock value for the network as an aggregated total of all the safety stock values for all the nodes in the network. You can define the safety stock amount for each node type as a fixed number or percentage of available inventory across all the nodes within the network that matches the associated node type.
Note: If you select this Node type override option, it overrides the safety stock values for each node type.
    1. Toggle On or Off button for DC, Store, and Vendor.
    2. Refer to Step 4.
  5. Select the Schedule as Unrestricted or Specific dates.
  6. Select Create to create a network rule with safety stock setting.

Results

After the rule is created, you can filter the rule as per the Conditions, Safety stock allocation, Safety stock type, and Effective from.
