Creating a new reservation

As a fulfillment manager, Sterling Intelligent Promising alows you to create a new reservation from Order Hub.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Inventory icon that looks like 3 boxes stacked on top of each other beside a single box and select Reservations.
  3. Click Create reservation from the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Optional Enter the details in the following fields:
    • Reference
    • Time to expire (in minutes) by clicking the Scroll up or Scroll down icon.
  5. Select the Availability type and Segmentation as applicable.
  6. Optional Disable Consider safety stock if required.
    Note: By default, Consider safety stock is enabled.
  7. Click Add item to add the item details.
  8. Enter the Line id and Quantity by clicking the Scroll up or Scroll down icon.
  9. Click Select item in Item id to select the items.
    1. Click Select items.
    2. Select Item ID.
  10. Optional Enter the details in Product class.
  11. Select the details in Delivery method and Segmentation.
  12. Disable the Accept partial segmentation.
    Note: By default, Accept partial segmentation is enabled.
  13. Select the details in Location.
  14. Enter the details in Reservation start, Reservation end, and OptionalReservation expiry override.
  15. Click Select nodes.
    1. Under the Search and select tab, select Node or Distribution group.
    2. Click Save to confirm the selection.
  16. Click Save to save the reservation details.
    Note:
    • You can add multiple items to one reservation.
    • You can edit or delete the items from the reservation. Click the Options icon and select Edit or Delete.
  17. Click Create to save the reservation.

Results

The reservation is created for the specific items and nodes.
  • If the indicator in Status is green, the reservation is created successfully.
  • If the indicator in Staus is grey, the reservation is not created successfully.
Note: You can also create a reservation from the SKU details page.
Creating a details from SKU details page
  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. Click Search.
  3. Search for the item.
  4. You can view the SKU details and availability for the item. If there is availability, you can create the reservation with items less than the availability.
  5. Click the Options icon and select Adjust inventory or Create reservation.
