Configuring lead times

The node lead time, or lead time represents the upfront static buffer time that accounts for the time before you can start processing the order at a node.

Lead time is an upfront static buffer to account for potential delays (such as system processes, software, planning, or task assignment) before personnel can start processing the order.

Procedure

To provide the necessary lead time configuration, see the Set or update lead time for node API.
Important:

To ensure the accuracy of IBM® Sterling Intelligent Promising dates, populate all the items in the Set or update lead time for node API to the maximum number of future horizons that the vendor wants to support.

For example, to ensure an accuracy of 7 days, the vendor must have data for capacity, carrier pickup, and transit time for a minimum of a 7-day period.
