Viewing the benefits report

You can view the benefits report to understand the cost and inventory benefits that result from optimizing your orders. You can view different aggregates and node breakdown Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as shipping cost benefits or node comparison benefits.

About this task

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. From the menu, click Promise and fulfill > Benefits report.
  3. Select one of the following views:
    • Today
    • Last 7 days
    • Last 30 days
    • Custom
The view that you select is saved. When you return to open this report again, the view that you selected previously is shown.
  4. Select a date range that you want to view the report and then click Download report.
  5. View the Net benefits table for the selected date range.
The Net benefits table displays the total shipping and inventory benefits of using the inventory model to fulfill your orders in the selected timeframe. By default, the Aggregates tab displays data in the tabular format. You can change the view by toggling between the graphical and tabular format. The Net benefits table shows the following information:
    Cost benefits
Cost benefits for the selected time frame in relation to the following:
    • Gross amount
    • Reinvested shipping cost
    • Net benefit
    Shipping benefits
Shipping cost benefits for the selected time frame.
    Inventory benefits
Inventory benefits for the selected time frame, such as:
    • Stockout avoidance
    • Markdown avoidance
    • Artificial markdown reduction
    Total benefits
A sum of the total benefits received for the selected time frame, such as:
    • Total Gross amount plus the inventory benefits.
    • Total Reinvested shipping cost plus the inventory benefits.
    • Total Net benefit plus the inventory benefits.
  6. Select the Aggregates tab where you can display the following Optimization objective settings by enabling the Show optimization settings toggle:
    • Minimizing shipping cost
    • Avoiding stockouts
    • Avoiding markdowns
    • Minimizing processing cost
    • Balancing node cost
Each Optimization objective settings is shown in percentages for the following types of optimization:
    Runtime optimization
The KPIs that are calculated by using the current optimization model.
    Without inventory optimization
The KPIs that are calculated when the inventory optimization model is turned off. Stockout avoidance, Markdown avoidance, and Artificial markdown avoidance are not considered.
    Without optimization
The KPIs that are calculated as a result of not optimizing the order.
  7. View the Results of optimization models section that provides the KPIs for the different types of optimization. For more information about each type of KPI, see Aggregate KPIs.
  8. Select the Node breakdown tab to view KPIs for the following:
    • DCs
    • Stores
    • Node type comparison
For more information about each type of Node breakdown KPI, see Node breakdown KPIs.
