Managing inventory segmentation allocation rules

You can manage the segmentation allocation rules for inventory and configure them such that the unsegmented inventory gets distributed to appropriate segments or as a secondary option for the custom segment types.

The Unsegmented segment also supports the use cases that does not require any inventory segmentation. When both the segment type and segment are undefined, the unsegmented gets recognized automatically.

Note:

You can use the Order Hub UI and Segment management APIs to create, edit, and delete the segments.
You need to define the segments before they are used for transactional processing. For more information, see Configuring segments.
