Monitor the following key metrics with their trend comparisons:
    • Total Stagnant SKUs: Review the total count and percentage change versus the previous period.
    • Phantom SKUs: Identify items that exist in the system but not in physical inventory.
    • Dormant SKUs: Track items with no recent transactional activity.
    • Stranded Capital: Monitor the financial value tied up in inactive inventory.
    Prioritize the following critical issues:
    • Zombie SKUs: Items resurrected after purge indicate upstream integration errors that need investigation.
    • Negative SKUs: Items with negative inventory counts are fulfillment blockers and require immediate correction.
Review aging metrics to prevent inventory obsolescence:
    • Longest Stagnation: Identify the oldest phantom SKU and track items approaching the 365-day limit.
    • Dead Stock: Review items with 365+ days of zero transactional activity.
    • Projected Obsolescence Risk: Monitor items aging to dead stock within 30 days and their associated value.
Note: Monthly snapshots are captured at end-of-month and data reflects 6 months of historical trends independent of the lookback period filter selected in step 3.
