Configuring capacity-based availability

You can configure capacity-based availability for the Inventory service to gain visibility into the available-to-sell quantities of inventory across nodes and distribution groups. Then, the inventory quantities are used to determine if orders can be fulfilled that day.

Before you begin

Ensure that you are familiar with the capacity-based availability concept. For more information, see Capacity-based availability.

Procedure

  1. Set the phaseOneCapacityEnabled attribute to true. For more information, see Capacity-based availability.
  2. Configure the capacity categories for your fulfillment tasks. For more information, see Configuring capacity categories.
  3. Configure at least one capacity workflow and associate it with the appropriate level of granularity based on business requirements. For more information, see Configuring capacity workflows.
