Integrating inventory data from external systems to Inventory service
To propagate inventory updates from an external inventory system, you must first integrate your external inventory system to Sterling Intelligent Promising.
Integrating with Sterling Intelligent Promising Essentials
If you are implementing the Sterling Intelligent Promising Essentials package, you are not entitled to use the inventory service or optimization service. You must directly feed in inventory availability using the Define Node Availability API.
Integrating with Sterling Intelligent Promising Standard
If you are implementing the Sterling Intelligent Promising Standard package, you can use either of the
following options.
- Feed in inventory availability using the Define Node Availability API. This option does not enable you to use inventory service features.
- Configure the inventory service and use the in-built integrations between inventory service, Promising Service and Optimization Service. This option allows you to use the inventory service features.
Integrating with Sterling Intelligent Promising Premium
If you are implementing the Sterling Intelligent Promising Premium package, you can use the following options:
- Configure the inventory service and use the in-built integrations between inventory service, Promising Service and Optimization Service. This option allows you to use the inventory service features.
