Configuring custom resources

After the IBM® Sterling Intelligent Promising Operator is installed on your cluster, the SIPEnvironment, IVServiceGroup, PromisingServiceGroup, UtilityServiceGroup, and OptimizerServiceGroup Custom Resources Definitions (CRDs) are created in your cluster. First, configure the SIPEnvironment custom resource to create an IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising environment. The SIPEnvironment custom resource can be used to manage all other custom resources that are created by the Operator.

Before you begin

Ensure that you familiarize yourself with information about custom resources, service groups, and methods to deploy service groups. For more information, see IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising custom resources and service groups.

About this task

Procedure

Configure the custom resources either inside or outside of SIPEnvironment.
Note: When you restart your Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform or Kubernetes cluster, it is recommended that you delete and recreate the custom resources, to avoid disruption of services.
