Date-based optimization
You can optimize orders based on the delivery date and ship date for assignments. When the delivery date and ship date for assignments are provided as a part of the input for the Optimizer API, order optimization occurs based on these dates.
Note: By default, optimization is based on SLA days of
The number of days to deliver are calculated at the assignment level where assignment is the ship node for the SKU. Therefore, it is possible that the number of days to deliver can be different for the same ship node across different SKUs. The number of days to deliver is calculated as the difference between the delivery date and the ship date. The minimum is 1 day. For every assignment based on the days to deliver, feasible carriers and shipments are determined. Optimization is done based on the following constraints:

- Only one package can be shipped from a ship node.
- When an SKU is included in a package from a ship node, limit the feasible carriers to only one carrier for that SKU and ship node.
