You can change an account
on an existing service if necessary.
Before you begin
Depending on how your system administrator customized your system, you might not
have access to this task. To obtain access to this task or to have someone complete it for you,
contact your system administrator.
Before
you can change accounts on a service in IBM Verify Identity Governance,
you must create a service instance.
In addition, an account
must exist, and the account must have an owner. In other words, orphan
accounts cannot be changed.
Procedure
To change
an account on a service instance, complete
these steps:
- From the navigation tree, click Manage Services.
The Select
a Service page is displayed.
- On the Select a Service page, complete
these steps:
- Type information about the
service in the Search
information field.
- In the Search by field, specify
whether to search against services or business units.
- Select a service type from the Search type list.
- Select a status from the Status list,
and then click Search.
A list
of services that matches the search criteria is displayed.
If the table contains multiple pages, you can:
- Click the arrow to go to the next page.
- Type the number of the page that you want to view and click Go.
- In the Services table, click the
icon () next to the service to show the tasks that can be done on
the service, and then click Accounts.
The
tasks that you can do are dependent on the type of service.
The Accounts page is displayed.
- On the Accounts page, complete
these
steps:
- Type information about the account
in the Account
information field.
- In the Search by field, specify
whether the search is to be done against user IDs or owners.
- In the Ownership type field,
select an ownership type, and then click Search or Advanced,
depending on the type of search you want to do.
The advanced
search option opens a new page where you can specify additional search
criteria.
A list of accounts that match the search
criteria is displayed.
If the table contains multiple pages, you can:
- Click the arrow to go to the next page.
- Type the number of the page that you want to view and click Go.
- In the Accounts table, select the
check box next to the account that you want to change, and then click Change.
The Account Information page is displayed.
- Change information
for the account, and then click Submit
Now or Schedule Submission.
The schedule submission option opens a new page where you can
specify the date and time for submitting the changes to the account.
Results
A message is displayed, indicating that
you successfully
submitted a request to change an account on the service.
What to do next
Select another account task, or click Close.
When the Accounts page is displayed, click Refresh to
refresh the Accounts table, or click Close.
