You can unmap previously mapped attributes
so that they
are no longer available for reporting.
Before you begin
Depending on how your system administrator customized your system, you might not
have access to this task. To obtain access to this task or to have someone complete it for you,
contact your system administrator.
About this task
Only attributes that are not being used in any reports can
be unmapped. The attributes that you unmap are made unavailable for
reporting as soon as you save your changes. You do not have to run
the data synchronization task for the changes to take effect.To
unmap the attributes for an entity, complete these steps:
Procedure
- Click .
The Select Entity
Attributes page is displayed.
- On the
Select Entity Attributes page, select an entity
from the list of objects.
Both mapped and unmapped attributes
for the selected entity are displayed. If they are being used by standard
reports, some of the attributes can be mapped by default.
- Select one or more attributes from the Mapped
attributes list, and then click Remove.
- To select multiple attributes at the same time,
press the Ctrl
key and click each attribute that you want to unmap.
- To select
continuous, multiple attributes at the same time, press
the Shift key and click each attribute that you want to unmap.
The attribute is moved to the Unmapped
attributes list.
- Click OK to save the report schema
and close the Select Entity Attributes page.
Results
A message is displayed, indicating that you successfully
updated the schema mapping for the entity that you selected.
