Overview

IVIG Role Optimizer (IVIG RO) is a powerful and comprehensive tool for risk analysis and role mining in medium and big size companies.

Role Optimizer is fully integrated with IBM® Verify Identity Governance role management facilities to support continuous role development and optimization as business processes evolve.

The main advantages of the Role Optimizer are:
  • Innovative pre-mining analysis finalized to generate intuitive business roles.
  • Cost-driven role mining with a rich set of parameters to tune the role mining process, minimizing the administrative cost of generated roles.
  • Interactive graphical optimization to visually optimize roles with useful information to facilitate coverage analysis of user-privilege relations to identify potential side effects of analysis changes.

Requirements

Software requirements

Linux OS computer to run the installer.

If you are using IBM DB2, then the database must be installed and configured to work with Verify Identity Governance Role Optimizer.

If you are using PostgreSQL, then the database must be installed and configured to work with Verify Identity Governance Role Optimizer.

This feature has been certified on the following software configuration:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 x86-64, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 15 x86-64

  • IBM DB2 v11.5.9

  • PostgreSQL database v14 / v15

IVIG Role Optimizer utility is currently not supported on Microsoft Windows Server and IBM AIX platforms.
