Viewing the Notifications widget

You can view warning information about potential problems and required actions on the Notifications widget on the Appliance Dashboard.

About this task

The Notifications widget refreshes automatically after every two minutes to display the most recent state or condition of the IBM Verify Identity Governance - Virtual Appliance.

Procedure

  1. On the Appliance Dashboard, locate the Notifications widget. Warning messages about potential problems and expected actions can be displayed as follows:
    IBM Verify Identity Governance server restart required 
    Appliance restart required 
    Middleware components not configured 
    The disk space utilization has exceeded the warning threshold.
    
  2. Take appropriate actions as necessary.
    For example:
    If the following warning message is displayed, restart the Verify Identity Governance Server by using the option in the Server Control widget.

    If a message for restarting the Appliance Dashboard is displayed, restart the virtual machine from the vSphere console. This condition occurs only if you did not restart after your first configuration.

  3. Optional: Click Refresh to display the most recent state or condition of the IBM Verify Identity Governance - Virtual Appliance.
