Detailed overview of Manage Business Activities module of Risk Controls feature in IBM Verify Identity Governance.
Manage Business Activities
We will first create a business activity. Perform the following steps:
- In the main menu, go to Manage Access Risk Controls → Manage Business Activities.
- Click Create Activity.
- Provide the requires details, such as Name and Description. The tree structure has all the folders that are part of organization. Select the relevant folder. Click Next.
- In the Add Owner page, select the user who would be responsible for the activity.
You can either search using the free text search box, or you can use search criteria such as begins with and choose one or more user attributes.
From the displayed list, select the user name.

Click Save.
The activity is created.
Next, we will add permissions to this business activity.
Note: You can add accesses
at a granular level for the type Service Group.

Click the kebab menu option (three vertical dots at the end of the record) and click View. In the Linked Permissions tab, click the Add Permissions button.

Select one or more of permissions relevant to the selected user role. You can filter the permissions based on Application or Type.

Click Add and then click Save.
