You can view the composition of a role.
Before you begin
Depending on how your system administrator customized your system, you might not
have access to this task. To obtain access to this task or to have someone complete it for you,
contact your system administrator.
About this task
To view the composition of role which contains Child Role an Child Accesses, complete these
steps.
Procedure
- From the navigation tree, click Manage Roles. The Manage Roles
page is displayed.
- On the Manage Roles page, complete these steps:
- Click Refresh icon to load all roles.
- Type name or description of the role in the Search box.
- Click Filters icon, specify whether the search is done based on
Service name, Role type or Membership type, and then click Apply filters. A
list of roles that match the search criteria is displayed. If the list contains multiple pages, you
can either click the arrow to go the next page, or, type the number of the page that you want to
view and click Go.
- In the Roles list, click the specific role and it is displayed in right panel.
- On this panel scroll down to Role Composition and click on View details.
It
will list the tree structure of the Role Composition in which Role Children as well as Group Access
children will be shown. The root of the tree will show the parent role name along with the number of
children it has. It will populate the first level of tree. If Parent role contains child role, then
those can be expanded separately.
Results
You are able to view the Role Composition.
