Upgrade and migrate

Upgrade a cluster, or migrate to an existing cluster.

To bring your cluster up to date, you are encouraged to apply the latest fix pack from IBM Fix Central.

Upgrade the virtual appliance
Use the following tasks to upgrade the virtual appliance.
Upgrade on Linux, Unix or Windows
Upgrade Identity Manager by applying the latest fix packs from Fix Central. Fix packs might address fixes to issues, improve performance, add feature enhancements, currency support or to address security vulnerabilities.
Separate system upgrade and data migration
Use these tasks to migrate database and directory data from an existing IBM® Security Identity Manager to a separate environment that runs the new Identity Manager version.
