Importing attribute mapping definition files
You can map the Identity Brokerage Adapters account attributes with the Verify Governance system attributes. As an administrator, you can import an attribute mapping definition file, which contains a list of attributes for a specific target profile. Use this option for Identity Brokerage profiles only.
Before you begin
If the Identity Brokerage profile contains a mapping definition file and is specified as a requirement in the adapter guide, complete this task after you import the target profile. The imported file must be a DEF file. For more information, see Importing target profiles.
About this task
The attribute mappings for all supported profiles are configured and require no further action.
This task is required for new and custom profiles. See the Development and Customization Guide at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21687732 for instructions.
An upload error might occur when no file is selected, or when the file is empty, or due to any upload operation error, such as a timeout or connection error.
- The HR profile packages include two attribute mapping files: one for accounts and one for groups.
- The default mapping is already included out-of-the box. If there are no changes to the attribute mapping, there is no need to import the attribute mapping files.
- Attribute mapping changes might take up to 10 minutes to take effect after they are imported.
Complete this task in the Enterprise Connectors module in the Administration Console.
Procedure
To import a Identity Brokerage target profile, complete these steps:
What to do next
After the target profile is imported, create a connector that uses the target profile. For more information, see Connector administration.
After you import the default attribute mapping, you cannot import it again on the same connector. You must add a new connector and import another DEF file for it. The DEF file is specific to the connector.
