Creating databases on the Lotus Domino server

Ensure that the Log DB and NoteIDsAddressbook entries exist in the registry settings, along with their appropriate values. You must create databases corresponding to these registry key values on the Lotus Domino server.

To create a database on the Lotus Domino server, follow the procedure.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Lotus Domino Administrator.
  2. Click File > Database > New. The New Database window opens.
  3. Under the Specify New Database Name and Location area:
    1. In the Server field, type the server name on which you want to create this database.
    2. In the Title field, type the title of the database you want to create.
    3. In the File name field, type the name of the database you want to create.
  4. Under Specify Template for New Database area:
    1. In the Server field, type the server name from which to select the templates.
    2. From the Template list, select a template. For the LogDB.nsf database and the NoteIDsAddressBook.nsf database, use the Personal Address Book template. For editing the NoteIDsAddressBook.nsf database, use the Personal Address Book template.
  5. Click OK.
