Overview

An adapter is an interface between a managed resource and the IBM® Security Identity server. Adapters might or might not be on the managed resource, and the IBM Security Identity server manages access to the resource by using your security system.

The Microsoft Office 365 Adapter (Office 365 Adapter) uses the Security Directory Integrator functions to facilitate communication between the IBM Security Identity server and Microsoft Office 365 (Office 365). The adapter functions as a trusted virtual administrator on the target platform. It does tasks such as creating login IDs, suspending IDs, and does other functions that administrators normally run manually.
