Adding keys

You might add keys for use with GPFS.

About this task

You can use the Add Key dialog to create one or more keys in the existing group. Your role must have the permission to the create action and a permission to the appropriate device group.

Before you begin, determine your site policy for naming key prefixes.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the graphical user interface.
  2. In the Key and Device Management section on Welcome page, select GPFS.
  3. Click Go to > Manage keys and devices.
  4. Alternatively, right-click GPFS and select Manage keys and devices.
  5. On the management page for GPFS, click Add.
  6. Click Key.
  7. On the Add Key dialog, specify values for the parameters.
  8. Click Add.
    The keys that you added are visible in the table of keys. Back up the keys before the keys are served to devices.
