Upgrading IBM Tivoli Key Lifecycle Manager to IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager 4.1

Upgrading IBM® Tivoli® Key Lifecycle Manager requires an interim upgrade to IBM Security Key Lifecycle Manager, Version 2.7 before you can upgrade to version 4.1.

Note: The procedure in this documentation considers interim upgrade to IBM Security Guardium® Key Lifecycle Manager, Version 2.7.

Procedure

Complete the following steps:
  1. Review the supported upgrade path and determine the migration method. If the existing version is not at the minimum fix pack level, apply the latest fix pack for the version. See Supported upgrade paths and migration methods.
  2. To complete interim upgrade, install IBM Security Key Lifecycle Manager, Version 2.7. For steps, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/1164220#install.
    Note: IBM Security Key Lifecycle Manager, Version 2.7 is end of service (EOS). To obtain its installation files, contact IBM Support. For more information, see Contacting IBM Support.
  3. Review and complete the pre-upgrade tasks. See Pre-upgrade tasks for IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager.
  4. Install IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager V4.1.
    Depending on the mode that you want to use, see the topic:
  5. Migrate the data.

    You need to migrate the data from IBM Tivoli Key Lifecycle Manager to IBM Security Key Lifecycle Manager, Version 2.7, and then from the IBM Security Key Lifecycle Manager, Version 2.7 to IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager 4.1.
