IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager supports the following methods for communicating with clients to manage and serve cryptographic objects:

Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP): You can use KMIP operations for secure communication between the IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager server and the self-encrypting devices that are KMIP compliant. For example, IBM DS5000, IBM Spectrum® Scale, and so on.
