Sharing data
Active file management (AFM) is a scalable, high-performance, file system caching layer, and enables sharing of data across clusters, even if the networks are unreliable or have high latency.
Use IBM Storage Fusion HCI System as a cache cluster. For AFM, you also need a home cluster. To set up a home cluster, see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/storage-scale/5.2.0?topic=carbugp-setting-up-home-cluster.
The subsections provide insights on how you can work with Active file management (AFM) volume management in IBM Storage Fusion HCI System.
