Setting encryption for the different storage types in IBM Storage Fusion HCI System .
Global Data Platform
You can connect to an encrypted remote IBM Storage Scale file system.
- The encryption server is configured after the configuration of encryption workflow. After the encryption settings are added, you cannot disable the local storage encryption.
- In Global Data Platform storage, you can connect to an encrypted remote IBM Storage Scale file system.
- The local storage can have non-encrypted data and encrypted data after you add the encryption settings on the Configure encryption page.
- The local storage gets automatically encrypted from the point a key management server is added to .
- Remote filesystem encryption is configured on remote Scale before you add it to the user interface.
