Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes
Red Hat® Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes offers end-to-end visibility and control for managing your cluster and application lifecycle. Among other features, it ensures security and compliance for your entire Kubernetes domain across multiple data centers and public clouds.
Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes runs on OpenShift®. It can import multiple IBM Storage Fusion clusters (and any other Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters on-premises or in public clouds).
After you import, it provides the following benefits:
- Monitors IBM Storage Fusion OpenShift clusters, including inventory, health, capacity or utilization, Events or troubleshooting.
- Manages IBM Storage Fusion OpenShift configuration (updates operators or CRs)
- Deploys HA applications with placement policies across IBM Storage Fusion OpenShift clusters.
- Governs and enforces policies IBM Storage FusionOpenShift cluster resources.
Do the following steps to work with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes:
- In the IBM Storage Fusion menu, click OpenShift Console to go to the Red Hat OpenShift management console.
- From the OpenShift Container Platform web management console,
install
Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes
operator. - Go to Operators > Installed Operators and open
open-cluster-management
Project. - Check whether the
Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes
is available. - Go to Networking > Routes to open the Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes console.
- Import your clusters.
- Log in using the default kubeadmin or
cluster-admin
. - Go to Infrastructure > Clusters to import or create clusters.
- In the Overview page, you can monitor all clusters.
