The procedure gives necessary steps to verify the IBM Cloud® Satellite operator installation from both OpenShift® web management console and IBM Cloud.

Procedure

  1. Log in to IBM Storage Fusion.
  2. Click OpenShift console with outward arrow to go to the OpenShift web management console.
  3. Go to Workloads > Virtualization.
  4. In the Virtual Machines tab, verify the following values:
    • The virtual machines of specified size (default 6) are created.
    • The virtual machines have correct vCPU, Memory, and Storage specifications.
    • All the specified virtual machines are in Running state.
    • All the specified virtual machines have IP addresses allocated.

  6. Go to https://cloud.ibm.com/satellite/locations.
  7. Select the created location.
  8. Click Hosts. It displays list of all the hosts that are attached to the location.
  9. Verify whether all the virtual machines are appearing in this list.
  10. For hosts with scale enabled, after the instance changes to running state, verify whether the scale cluster is healthy and the remote mount is successful.
For more information about scale, see Mount remote file systems.
