Installing IBM Storage Fusion HCI System in a disaster recovery setup

Use the sequence mentioned in this procedure to install IBM Storage Fusion HCI System with Metro-DR or Regional DR setup.

Before you begin

For tiebreaker prerequisites, see Preparing the tiebreaker.

Important: Contact IBM support before you begin the installation of Metro-DR deployment.

Procedure

Install site 1.

Upgrade site 2.
For the procedure to install, see the single rack installation procedure in Installing IBM Storage Fusion HCI System.
For Metro-DR, set up the Tiebreaker. For the tiebreaker procedure, see Preparing the tiebreaker.

What to do next

Metro-DR: Set up Metro-DR, Enable applications for Metro-DR, Failover applications from site 1 to site 2, and Failback applications from the mirrored site to the original site. For the procedure, see Metro-DR for IBM Storage Fusion HCI System.
