Unable to login, unable to ping, invalid credentials.

Error conditions

The error message can be for the following conditions:
IMM
  • Failed to connect to IMM for changing the default user's password.

  • Unable to login to IMM of new node.
  • Unable to connect or log in to the IMM of new node.

  • Unable to create remote OneCli connection with IMM.

  • Unable to create remote OneCli connection with IMM using LLA.

  • Connected the cable to an empty port of the management switch 1 that is not configured.

Node

Failed to change the default user's password after node configuration.

Other messages
  • Onecli executable not found.
  • Unable to fetch link local.
  • Failed detect system type.

Do the following steps to diagnose the error:
  1. Do a visual inspection of the physical network connectivity.
  2. Check that the cables are connected and LEDs show a connected state for the network interface of the node.
  3. Check whether any device is connected to an empty port of the management switch 1 that is not configured.
  4. If the issue persists, collect the Network and Nodes logs and contact IBM support .
