Resources & Other Requirements
| Version Compatibility |
SevOne Data Insight and SevOne NMS are compatible when they are within + / - 1 major version of each other. However, for the best experience and to ensure full feature availability and optimal performance, we strongly recommend keeping both Data Insight and NMS on the same version. When the versions do not match, some features may be limited or may not function as expected. You must have the following for NMS:
|
| Helm | v3.13.1 |
| Kubernetes | v1.32.2+k3s1 (for upgrades / new provisioning)
Important: If the installed Kubernetes version in your setup is not supported by SevOne Data Insight you are provisioning, you will get an error message. Kubernetes must be upgraded prior to upgrading SevOne Data Insight.
|
| Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) | >=8.0.0 |
| Kernel | 4.18.0-553.60.1.el8_10.x86_64 |
| Nginx Helm Chart | 4.10.1 |
| Operating System | Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.10 (Ootpa) |
| Data Insight ports | Mandatory UI ports: 80 and 443
Data Insight uses port 80 to redirect any HTTP (80) requests to HTTPS (443). |
| VMware vSphere Client | >=6.5 |
| Signature Tools |

Resolved Issues
| Key | Resolved Issues |
|---|---|
| S1NPM-113434 | SDN Widgets: All SD-DC (Software Designed Data Center) widgets are now available from SevOne Data Insight. |
| S1NPM-113788 | Performance Metrics Widget: The Calendar Heatmap visualization displays the value labels when the widget is sized appropriately. |
| S1NPM-113853 | Performance Metrics Widget: As expected, the Line visualization accurately represents the timespan corresponding to the selected timezone. |
| S1NPM-114005 | Platform: Failure messages in the GQL logs, which were possibly due to Prometheus authentication issues, have now been resolved. |
| S1NPM-114130 | Flow Widget: Allows creation of Simple and Compound filters under tab Filters. |
| S1NPM-114315 | Performance Metrics: Support added for metadata report linking and global report linking in Performance Metrics table legends. |
| S1NPM-114493 | TopN Widget: TopN - TopN chained widget gets data as expected. |
| S1NPM-114507 | Export PDF: Scheduled email PDF delivery completes when a report contains the Flow Widget data with App Profile containing logos on Table visualization or any other visualization (such as, Pie Chart, Bar Chart, or Line Chart) where LEGEND is set to Table. Flow OOTB reports and the migrated Flow Widget reports scheduled for delivery in Table visualization and for other visualizations where LEGEND is set to Table are successfully exported. |

| S1NPM-114911 | Platform: Can successfully load out-of-the-box (OOTB) reports from SevOne Data Insight graphical user interface. |
| S1NPM-114935 | Flow Widget: Subnet selector displays the subnets; scroll to the end to load the next set of subnets successfully. |
| S1NPM-115062 | Platform: When following a report link from Device Summary, the variables on the target clear once the data is loaded. This has now been resolved. |
| S1NPM-116043 | Device Summary: System Uptime retrieves the units from the API response and displays it correctly. |
| S1NPM-116862 |
VeloCloud: When upgrading SevOne Data Insight version 7.2.x to 8.0.x, adding the VeloCloud datasource now allows the VeloCloud SDWAN Site Summary reports and their corresponding widgets to load as expected. |

Known Issues
This section lists issues that SevOne is aware of in the Data Insight 8.0.0 release. Most of these issues were discovered during quality assurance testing and are published here to provide you with information that may be relevant when you plan your update. This list does not include feature requests or low impact issues that do not affect functionality. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us.
Due to the migration from Id to Name-based resources, if the user changes the device name in SevOne NMS, any report that had variables that were statically configure with that device name will not work. The same is true for objects that change the name as well.
- If a SevOne Data Insight 2.2.x report is bookmarked on your browser, you will need to re-select the report variable selections and update the bookmark. Otherwise, it will not work with SevOne Data Insight 3.0 or higher.
- Flow Widget: SevOne NMS requestd may take longer than expected to complete the report. Due to this, it is possible that the report may timeout after 15 minutes.
Important: This happens when a lot of resources are selected for example, All Device Groups, aggregation is set to be very granular, and greater than a month's worth of data (4 weeks+) is being requested.
- Report Linking only applies to report variables of the same type. For example, clicking on a device will only send a Device to device report variables. However, clicking on a Device will not affect a Flow Interface report variable.
- Administer > Teams
- When a user is added to a new team, you need to logout and login for the change to take effect.
- For team membership, even if multiple datasources are added to a team, only users with the proper roleID of the authorization source will be available to the team. Teams cannot have members defined in multiple datasources.
| Key | Known Issues |
|---|---|
| S1NPM-100050 | Alert Details Widget / Alert Summary Widget: When no resources are selected and from Linking tab, you have selected values for Clicking on report linking and have added report variable. Once the report variable has been applied and you click on linking value, widget returns an error.
Workaround: When creating the Alert Details / Alert Summary widget, select the required resources. |
| S1NPM-100058 | Performance Metrics Widget: From Analyze tab, when field Enable downsampling is enabled and from Charts tab, visualization Line, Area > Stack is enabled, the graphs are misleading for the newly added polling device objects.
Workaround: From Analyze tab, disable field Enable downsampling for stacked line to display properly. |
| S1NPM-100087 | Devices: Refreshing logout token on Device Manager page results in an authentication error and logs you out. |
| S1NPM-112547 / S1NPM-112715 | SD-WAN Viptela: After successful upgrade from version 7.1.0 to 7.1.x, the Viptela Summary Report in GUI displays a SevOne Data Insight migration error as shown below.
Workaround: Please click on Try to load anyway to proceed with loading the report without any conflicts. |
| S1NPM-112547 / S1NPM-112731 | SD-WAN Viptela: When installing / upgrading the collector, running the command below to import the OOTB reports during post-check, may trigger an error. This is an expected behavior.
Workaround: The OOTB reports are still imported, and the installation or upgrade during post-check will continue as expected without any conflicts. Please refer to Viptela Collector - Deployment guides for details. |
| S1NPM-114222 | WiFi: Sometimes the Number of Clients shown in the Clients Summary by Access Point does not match the values in the heatmap or in the Client Summary included in the report generated by the WiFi Signal Quality widget. |
| S1NPM-116917 | Report Linking: Data does not populate in the linked report. |
| S1NPM-116999 | ACI Tenant Object Report: Incorrect data is displayed in the fault page. |
| S1NPM-117000 | Widgets: Incorrect indicators are displayed for a few OOTB ACI Reports. |
