Site-to-Site Traffic

The Site-to-Site Traffic widget allows you to view the traffic (Utilization / Jitter / Latency / Loss percentage) statistics between two sites based on the transport types. It also shows the Alerts, Availability, and Reachability of the selected sites. It provides a drill-down view of the tunnel stats when clicked on link type container.

Data

The Data tab enables you to select the resources to graph.

Site-to-Site Traffic Data

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Data tab.

  1. Click the Datasource drop-down and select the SevOne NMS cluster or appliance.
  2. Click the DeviceGroup drop-down and select the device group.
  3. Click Run to generate a Site-to-Site Traffic report based on the configuration.
    Note: Run button is only available when one or more fields are changed in the Data tab.
  4. In the report generated, perform the following actions:
    1. Click the Source site drop-down and select the source site.
    2. Click the Destination sites drop-down and select the destination site.
    3. By default, the widget shows the Outgoing traffic (siteA > siteB). Click the Incoming option shows the traffic coming from siteB > siteA. Site-to-Site Traffic Data 1
      Note: After generating a report
      Replace Untitled Report name with an appropriate report name. For example, Site-to Site Traffic Report.

  5. Click the Link Type (also known as Transport Type) container to see the individual Tunnel stats. For example, as shown in the screenshot above, click on the center arrow labeled sdwan::mpls. Site-to-Site Traffic Data Report

Analyze

The Analyze tab enables you to define the time zone and timespan.

Site-to-Site Traffic Analyze

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Analyze tab.

  1. Click the Time zone drop-down and select a time zone.
  2. Click the Timespan drop-down and select one or more of the following options:
    • Past <n> hours, days, weeks, months, quarter, year - to display data from hours, days, weeks, months, quarter, or year ago until now.
    • Today - to display data from 12:00am today until now.
    • Yesterday - to display data from 12:00am yesterday until 12:00am today.
    • Last week, month, quarter, year - to display data from 12:00am on the first day of the last completed week, month, quarter, or year to 11:59pm on the last day of the last completed week, month, quarter, or year.
    • This week, month, quarter, year - to display data from 12:00am on the first day of the week, month, quarter, or year until now.
    • Customize the timespan with From and To date / time.

Settings

The Settings tab enables you to configure settings for the Site-to-Site Traffic.

  1. Select the Availability Color subtab and perform the following action.
    • Select the Use Default check box to choose the default colors for Success, Warning, and Error. Or, you may customize the colors to your choice.

  2. Select the Reachability Color subtab and perform the following action.
    • Select the Use Default check box to choose the default colors for Success, Warning, and Error. Or, you may customize the colors to your choice.

  3. Select the Ranges subtab and perform the following actions.
    • Click the Attributes drop-down and select one of the following options:
      1. Availability
      2. Reachability
    • Choose Min/Max ranges for Success, Warning, and Error. Site-to-Site Traffic Settings Ranges

Linking

The Linking tab enables you to select a data element and link it to a related report or report template. Perform the following steps to add, delete, and edit links.

Site-to-Site Traffic Linking

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Linking tab.

  1. Include report links allows you to include the report links that you configure. Enable to include the report link that you configure. If you want to prevent the report link from being included, disable it. Continue with the steps below to configure report link(s).
  2. Switches for individual report links are selected by default. If you wish to exclude a specific report link, disable the switch for it.
  3. Use the Clicking on drop-down to select a data item that you want to link with the report or report template. When you select a data item for a report link, that data item is no longer listed as an option for other report links as it has already been used. You can apply multiple reports/report templates to the selected data item.
  4. Click the Links to report drop-down and select one or more reports or report templates to display when you click on the data item that you specified in the previous step.
  5. To remove a report link, click Delete icon.
  6. If the report link has been deleted, you may click Add report link to add.

Charts

The Charts tab enables you to define how you want to display the report data.

Visualizations

The charts provide Site Traffic visualization only.

Site Traffic

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for the Site Traffic visualization.

  1. Select the Site Traffic visualization.
  2. TITLE
    1. Enable Show title to enter the title name in the text field provided and display it in report. Else, disable it.
