Wireless LAN Controller collector is a container image co-hosted on the NMS appliance. It runs on NMS in host networking mode. SevOne NMS uses SNMP Plugin to fetch data. WLC collector uses the same technology stack and its connectivity demands are met with SNMP Plugin configured correctly.
Important: As of Wireless LAN Controller 7.0.0,
  1. the collector is now natively installed on SevOne NMS. There is no separate installation of the Wireless LAN Controller collector required anymore.
  2. the upgrade of the collector to 7.0.0 is handled along with SevOne NMS upgrade to 7.0.0. No separate upgrade process is required for upgrading the collector.
  3. the collector no longer supports the installation on Remote Virtual Machines.
