SDN Fault Messages
The SDN Fault Messages widget displays ACI fault messages received from a given APIC cluster. These messages are not kept for historical perspective. You may use SevOne Data Insight Alerts widgets to see SevOne NMS alerts with a historical perspective including ACI fault messages converted to SevOne NMS alerts. It also displays the data for different fault messages occurred into a Cisco APIC.
Data
The Data tab enables you to select the resources to graph.
Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Data tab.
- Click the Datasource drop-down and select SevOne NMS cluster or appliance.
- Click the POD Device drop-down and select the SDN POD target.
- Select an appropriate option from the Filter by Tenant drop-down.
- All - Select to display summary of all faults in the report.
- Select any specific fault to show details about that fault in the report.
- Click the Run to generate an SDN Fault Messages report based on the
configuration.Note: Run button is only available when one or more fields are changed in the Data tab.
- In the report generated,
- Fault Counts - All - to display all faults as a count; data included is Critical , Major , Minor , and Warning .
- Fault Counts by Domain - to show all faults as a count and sorted by Domain; data included is Domain (domain name), Critical , Major , Minor , and Warning .
- Fault Counts by Type - to show all faults as a count and sorted by Type; data included is Type , Critical , Major , Minor , and Warning .
- Faults Summary Table - to show the fault summary info; data included is Severity , Domain (domain name), Type , Code , Count , Cause , and Fault Description .
- Faults Details - to show detailed info about the fault. It only appears when you click on a row in Fault Summary Table. Data included is Severity , Code , Cause , Creation Time , Last Transition , Affected Object , Lifecycle , and Fault Description.

Note: After generating a report
Replace Untitled Report name with an appropriate report name. For example, SDN Fault Messages Report.
Replace Untitled Section name with an appropriate name. For example, SDN Fault Messages.
Charts
The Charts tab enables you to define how you want to display the report data.
Visualizations
The charts provide Summary visualization only.
Summary
The Summary visualization displays the data as a table. Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for the Summary visualization.
- Select the Summary visualization.

TABLE
- Enable Show search bar to display search bar in the report. Else, disable it.
- Enable Allow column reordering to allow the columns that display in the report to be reordered.
- Enable Allow showing/hiding columns to allow columns in the report to be hidden and unhidden.
- Enable Wrap cell content to wrap long text in a data row so that all text displays. Leave clear to display as much text as fits into the cell with ellipses to indicate there is more text.

COLUMN SELECTION

Select the check boxes to display the selected fields as data columns in the table. The names in the second column are the names for the columns that appear in the report. You may modify the names in the second column to your choice.
