This document provides a list of questions that SevOne requires the user to respond to prior to a fresh install or an upgrade. For details on compatibility, please refer to Release Notes SD-WAN Collector > Resources & Requirements > section Compatibility Matrix.

1 Have you verified the checksum of the installer file?
Note: If you do not know how to verify the checksum, please refer to SD-WAN Nokia-Nuage Networks Collector Installation Guide > section Collector Installation > Step 3 . If you are still not able to verify the checksum, please contact IBM SevOne Support.

  1. NMS appliance IP address
  2. Username for an administrator-level account
  3. Is password for NMS ready to share during the installation/upgrade session?
    Note: Please ensure all passwords are available prior to the session.
  4. IP address of SevOne DNC where the flows need to be sent
  5. Port number for DNC where the flows are being sent.
    Note: The default port number is 9996.

    Note: The default port number is 9200.

7 Please provide the Managed Service Provider (MSP) name for the configured VSD.
Note: For MSP Name, choose an arbitrary name for this field, to logically group the devices created by the SD-WAN solution. This name will be used to create a device group containing all tenants and their sites along with the devices which are created by the collector.

Note: If you want to distribute devices to some peers only then, please provide the IP addresses / peer names of those selected peers in the Response column.

Note: Installation of flow augmentor is mandatory when the Netflow/flow monitoring is required.

11 Do you want to suffix the device names (created by the collector) with the tenant name? Please circle one option in the Response column. If no, please ensure that all device hostnames are unique across all tenants.
Note: This setting cannot be changed in subsequent upgrades. If you are unsure whether the device hostnames are unique or not, please make sure that the suffix is added to the device names.

Note: Data is by default collected in octets by Nokia-Nuage and SevOne. However, you may choose to collect the data in packets or both, octets and packets.
