Device Summary

The Device Summary widget provides details on the device (edge routers) such as metadata, health, CPU, memory, temperature, fan status, software version, last reboot, etc. It supports Viptela, Versa, and Nuage Networks Collectors.

Data

The Data tab enables you to select the resources to graph.

Device Summary Data

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Data tab.

  1. Click the Datasource drop-down and select the SevOne NMS cluster or appliance.
  2. Choose one of the following radio buttons (DEVICE GROUP or DEVICE).
    1. DEVICE GROUP
      1. Click the Tenant/Device Group drop-down and select a tenant or device group to report on.
      2. Click Run to generate a Device Summary report based on the configuration.
        Note: Run button is only available when one or more fields are changed in the Data tab.
      3. In the report generated,
        • Click the Device drop-down and select the device.
        • Click the Indicators drop-down and select one of the following filters:
          • CPU, Memory and Disk Utilization

            Replace Untitled Report name with an appropriate report name. For example, Device Summary Report.

    2. DEVICE
      1. Click the Tenant/Device Group drop-down and select a tenant or device group to report on.
      2. Click the Device drop-down and select the device.
      3. Click Run to generate a Site-to-Site Traffic report based on the configuration.
        Note: Run button is only available when one or more fields are changed in the Data tab.

      4. In the generated report,
        • Click the Indicators drop-down and select one of the following filters:
          • CPU, Memory and Disk Utilization

Analyze

The Analyze tab enables you to define the time zone and timespan.

Device Summary Analyze

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Analyze tab.

  1. Click the Time zone drop-down and select a time zone.
  2. Click the Timespan drop-down and select one or more of the following options:
    • Past <n> hours, days, weeks, months, quarter, year - to display data from hours, days, weeks, months, quarter, or year ago until now.
    • Today - to display data from 12:00am today until now.
    • Yesterday - to display data from 12:00am yesterday until 12:00am today.
    • Last week, month, quarter, year - to display data from 12:00am on the first day of the last completed week, month, quarter, or year to 11:59pm on the last day of the last completed week, month, quarter, or year.
    • This week, month, quarter, year - to display data from 12:00am on the first day of the week, month, quarter, or year until now.
    • Customize the timespan with From and To date / time.

Settings

The Settings tab enables you to configure the settings for Device Summary.

  1. Select the Availability Color subtab and perform the following action.
    • Select the Use Default check box to choose the default colors for Success, Warning, and Error. Or, you may customize the colors to your choice.

  2. Select the Reachability Color subtab and perform the following action.
    • Select the Use Default check box to choose the default colors for Success, Warning, and Error. Or, you may customize the colors to your choice.

  3. Select the Ranges subtab and perform the following actions.
    • Click the Attributes drop-down and select one of the following options:
      1. Availability
      2. Reachability
    • Choose Min/Max ranges for Success, Warning, and Error.

Linking

The Linking tab enables you to select a data element and link it to a related report or report template. Perform the following steps to add, delete, and edit links.

Note: Report Linking is only allowed for Indicators set to Interfaces and Tunnels or Device Information.
Device Summary Linking

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Linking tab.

  1. Include report links allows you to include the report links that you configure. Enable to include the report link that you configure. If you want to prevent the report link from being included, disable it. Continue with the steps below to configure report link(s).
  2. Switches for individual report links are selected by default. If you wish to exclude a specific report link, disable the switch for it.
  3. Use the Clicking on drop-down to select a data item that you want to link with the report or report template. When you select a data item for a report link, that data item is no longer listed as an option for other report links as it has already been used. You can apply multiple reports/report templates to the selected data item.
  4. Click the Links to report drop-down and select one or more reports or report templates to display when you click on the data item that you specified in the previous step.
  5. To remove a report link, click Delete icon.
  6. To create additional report links, click Add report link.

Charts

The Charts tab enables you to define how you want to display the report data.

Visualizations

The charts provide Summary visualization only.

Device Summary Charts

Summary

Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for the Summary visualization.

  1. Select the Summary visualization.
  2. TITLE
    1. Enable Show title to enter the title name in the text field provided and display it in report. Else, disable it.
    2. Enable Show subtitle to enter the sub-title name in the text field provided and display it in the report. Else, disable it.
  3. COLUMN SELECTION
    1. Select the check boxes available for Interface and Tunnel to display the selected fields as data columns in the table. The names in the second column are the names for the columns that appear in the report. You may modify the names in the second column to your choice.
      Note: The Column Selection section will available only when the Interface and Tunnels option is chosen from the Indicators drop-down. Otherwise, you will see Not Applicable.
