Group Metrics Widget
The Group Metrics widget aggregates statistics by device or object group to see a group's average, min, max or total values. Perform the steps below to configure settings for the Group Metrics widget.
Data
The Data tab enables you to select the resources for which you want to view the group metrics.
Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Data tab.

For Datasource and Resource Type settings, please refer to section Select Widget Resources in Create.

Select the Select Group Children check box to include the children of the group(s) selected.
Select Group Children applies to resource type Device Group only. -
Click the Aggregations drop-down to select the aggregations.

After selecting one or more aggregations, Add button becomes available. Click Add to include the selected aggregations into the report.
Execute this step only if you need to remove a resource query, * Select one or more options from the Current resources list or you may select the select all check box to choose all the resources in the list. Click the Remove button to remove the current resources. -
Click Run to generate a Group Metrics report based on the configuration.
Run button is only available when one or more fields are changed in the Data tab.
Example
Analyze
The Analyze tab enables you to define settings for the data you retrieve and to use data analysis features.
Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Analyze tab.
- Click the Work Hours drop-down and select one of the following options:
- Device Work Hours - to include data for the work hours that you associate with the device on the SevOne NMS 6.x Edit Device page. For additional details, please refer to SevOne NMS User Guide.
- None - to include all data for the device.
- By default, timespan / time zone selected is Past 24 hours New_York. Click the button to change the timespan / timezone. Select one of the following options:
- Past
hours , days, weeks, months, quarter, year - to display data fromhours, days, weeks, months, quarter, or year ago until now. - Today - to display data from 12:00am today until now.
- Yesterday - to display data from 12:00am yesterday until 12:00am today.
- Last week, month, quarter, year - to display data from 12:00am on the first day of the last completed week, month, quarter, or year to 11:59pm on the last day of the last completed week, month, quarter, or year.
- This week, month, quarter, year - to display data from 12:00am on the first day of the week, month, quarter, or year until now.
- Customize the time span with From and To date / time.
- Click Select button to choose the modified timespan / time zone.
- Past
Linking
The Linking tab enables you to select a data element and link it to a related report or report template. Perform the following steps to add, delete, and edit links.
Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for Linking tab.

Include report links allows report consumers to click on a data element such as, device name, and link it to the related report. Enable to include the report link that you configure. If you want to prevent report link from being included, disable it. Continue with the steps below to configure report link(s).

Report Link 1 and Report Link 2 are available. By default, the report links for Device Group and Object Group are enabled.
If you wish to exclude the report link, disable Report Link <#>. -
Use the Clicking on drop-down to select a data item that you want to link with the report or report template. When you select a data item for a report link, that data item is no longer listed as an option for other report links as it has already been used. You can apply multiple reports/report templates to the selected data item.

Click the Links to report drop-down and select one or more reports or report templates to display when you click on the data item that you specified in the previous step.

To remove the report link, click .

If one or both report links have been deleted, you may click to add one.
Charts
The Charts tab enables you to define how you want to display the report data.
Visualizations
The charts provide Table visualization only.
Table
The Table visualization displays the data as a table. Perform the following steps to set the widget settings for the Table visualization.

Select the Table visualization by clicking .

TABLE CHART TITLE
- Enable Show title to enter the title name in the text field provided and display it in report. Else, disable it.
- Enable Show subtitle to enter the sub-title name in the text field provided and display it in the report. Else, disable it.

TABLE
- Select the Wrap Cell Contents check box to wrap long text in a data row so that all text displays. Leave clear to display as much text as fits into the cell with ellipses to indicate there is more text.
- Select the Allow Column Toggling check box to allow the columns that display in the report to be toggled.
- Select the Allow Column Re-ordering check box to allow the columns that display in the report to be reordered.
- By selecting Show search bar check box, the search capability is available to perform a search in the table. Disable it if you do not want the search capability. If Show search bar is enabled, you may click to allow Search by column.
