Generating a users list report

You can generate a list of users with a specific criteria that makes them easier to identify.

Before you begin

Note: User list report is a requestable feature, CI-74090. It requires that Download reports as CSV files (CI-40542) also be installed. To request this feature, contact your IBM Sales representative or IBM contact and indicate your interest in enabling this capability. This feature might not be available in your location. If you have permission to create a support ticket, create a support ticket with the feature number. Note: IBM® Verify trial subscriptions cannot create support tickets.
  • You must have administrative permission or a manageReports role to complete this task.
  • Log in to the IBM Verify administration console as an Administrator.

Procedure

  1. Select Directory > Users & groups.
  2. Click Generate report.
  3. Provide a Report name.
    Note: A report name must be at least two characters and cannot exceed 210 characters. Characters must be alphanumeric and can include the special characters hyphen and underscore.
  4. Optional: Provide a Description.
  5. Select the type of report.
    • Users list- An exportable CSV report that contains the requested user attribute data.
    • User count- A count of the user records with no export or download capabilities.
    Note: If Users count is selected, the Choose data and Preview steps are removed.
  6. Optional: Select the checkbox to receive an email when the report is ready.
  7. Optional: Click Add recipients.
    This enables the ability to send an email notification to multiple people when the report is available.
    1. Type the email of each recipient. Use a comma to separate the recipients' emails.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Select which identity providers to include.
    Select at least one identity provider.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Add attribute filters to target specific groups of data. These filters identify the users that are included in the report. A maximum of 10 attribute filters can be applied.
    1. Select the Filter rule.
      • No attribute filters- generates a user list that consists of all the users from the selected identity providers.
      • Match all of these filters- targets specific groups of data that aligns with the User attributes, Search criteria, and text you search for using all the search filters you add.
      • Match any of these filters- targets specific groups of data that aligns with the User attributes, Search criteria, and text you search for, using either of the search filters you add.
    2. Select the user attributes, criteria, and text that you want to use to identify the users.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Choose the data to include in this report, or search for specific user attributes.
    These filter attributes specify what data is returned from the users that are included in the report.
    Note: Selecting more attributes increases report generation time.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Preview the report.
  16. Click Generate report.
  17. In the message, click view reports or navigate to Reporting & diagnostics > Reports > Generated reports.
    When the report is completed, click the report name to see the report details.
  18. Optional: Download the file.
