Uninstalling the IBM Security Verify Gateway for Linux PAM and AIX PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules)

You can use the RPM Package Manager to uninstall the IBM® Verify Gateway for PAM.

Procedure

  1. To uninstall the PAM module for Verify from Linux operating systems by using the .rpm files, do the following steps.
    1. Uninstall the IBM PAM module for Verify.
      Issue the following command.
      rpm -e pam-ibm-auth-1.0.7-0.x86_64
    2. Uninstall the IBM Auth API for Verify.
      Issue the following command.
      rpm -e ibm-auth-api-1.0.7-0.x86_64
  2. To uninstall the PAM module for Verify from Linux operating systems by using the .deb files, do the following steps.
    1. Uninstall the IBM PAM module for Verify.
      Issue the following command.
      dpkg --remove pam-ibm-auth-1.0.7-0.x86_64
    2. Uninstall the IBM Auth API for Verify.
      Issue the following command.
      dpkg --remove ibm-auth-api-1.0.7-0.x86_64
  3. To uninstall the PAM module for Verify from AIX® operating systems by using the installp command, do the following step.
    1. Uninstall the IBM PAM module for Verify.
      Issue the following command.
      installp -u pam_ibm_auth.rte
