Creating a role

You can create roles to manage entitlements.

Procedure

Select Applications > App role management.
Select Create role.

Note: Dynamic role is being replaced by Dynamic group. With this transition, the existing Dynamic role is going to be migrated to Dynamic groups page, preserving any existing associations with applications.
Provide the information for General setup.
1. Provide a name for the role.
  The name is limited to 1024 characters.
2. Optional: Provide a description.
  The description is limited to 1024 characters.
3. Select the application for the role from the menu.
Select Next.
Provide the Role composition information.
1. Select the Roles tab.
2. Select any roles that were previously created for the application that you want to include in the new role.
3. On the Permissions tab, select permissions that are assigned to the application.
4. If applicable, click Configure rights to select the appropriate rights to be assigned to the permission.
  Rights can only be assigned to permissions of the type permission set.
Select Next.
Review the information on the Preview page.
Select Create role.
