Generating a password intelligence report

You can generate reports in IBM® Security Verify tenant in your Administration console. You can monitor data that is related to user's verified credentials activity.

Before you begin

  • You must have administrative permission or be a member of the helpdesk group to complete this task.
  • Log in to the IBM Security Verify administration console as an Administrator.

About this task

Administrators can visualize password activity that is related with credentials compromised or data breaches. Additionally, by extracting, collecting, and analyzing insights brings the capability to detect the exact risk in its pipeline results.

Procedure

  1. Select Reporting & diagnostics > Reports.
  2. Select the Password intelligence report tile. Select View report.
    The summary report displays the number of password login attempts by category, success, warning, enforced, and audited. The table shows the timestamp, user, source, client IP, password check results, and location for each event.
  3. Select Filters to classify your output results.
    You can search by.
    Identity
    Filters
    • User Name
    • API client name
    Source
    Filters
    • Client IP.
    • Location. You can select the log sessions.
    Event details
    Filters
    • Password check result. Success.
    • Source. Variable
    • Event type. Authentication.
    The table is displayed with the following attributes:
    • Time stamp
    • Performed by
    • Action
    • Source
    • Client IP
    • Password check result
    • Location
    You can use any combination of filters to refine your results. Select Apply filters to modify the report. The selected filters precede the graph. You can clear the filters by selecting the Reset link.
    Note: The search fields are case-sensitive.
  4. Change the date range for the report.
    Select the From and To dates to display the calendar drop downs and select the dates for the report. You are not allowed to go back more than 90 days.
    Note: The To date cannot exceed the current date.
  5. Select Run Report.
    The Report information is refreshed.
  6. Optional: Generate a CSV file for the report.
    1. Click Generate CSV.
