Creating the application profile for custom attributes

Create new custom application profiles with custom attributes.

Before you begin

You must have administrative permission to complete this task.

Procedure

  1. Log in as administrator in IBM® Verify and navigate to Applications > Application profiles.
  2. Select Create profile.
  3. Select Custom attributes.
    1. Provide a unique name for the profile.
      Note: The name cannot contain spaces or special characters. You can use hyphens (-) and underscores (_).
    2. Optional: Add a description.
    3. Select the target endpoint for the custom application profile.
  4. Select Create profile.
    The Create Profile wizard starts in draft status. The information that you entered previously is shown on the General setup section.
  5. Select Attributes.
  6. Select Add attribute.
  7. From the drop-down menu, select the application profile attribute that you want to add to the profile and select Add.
    1. Optional: To create another custom attribute, from the drop-down menu, select Create new custom attribute.
    2. On the Name and description page, specify name of the attribute that is to be added.
    3. Optional: Add an attribute ID and description.
    4. Select Next.
    5. On the Source and value page, specify the attribute identifier and data type of the attribute.
    6. Select Add attribute.
    Repeat this step for each attribute that you want to add.
    Note: The attributes that you added are shown in the attributes table for the application profile under creation.
  8. Optional: To remove an attribute from the table in the application profile, select the Delete icon.
    Note: When attribute is removed from the attributes table, it remains in the drop-down menu and can be added again to application profile.
  9. After the attributes are added, select Save to save the application profile as a draft.
  10. Optional: You can delete a draft application by selecting Delete draft.
  11. To make the application profile available for use, select Publish draft.
    You can publish the draft now or later.
