How to request new features in IBM Security Verify
Roadmaps and ideas drive development teams to deliver the highest quality of product. Without ideas from the community and clients, IBM® loses insights into how the product is being used and how to make it work better. IBM encourages everyone, who wants to make IBM Security Verify better to submit enhancement requests (or RFEs) to the Product Management team for review.
Requests for new features can be for:
- New additions and functions
- New strategy focus
- Improvements to the user experience
- Other
Evaluation is done weekly by the Product team.
The goal is to make submitting ideas easily, without barriers, and to efficiently communicate directly on the status of those requests and when they are planned to be released into production. Through this method of enhancement requests, IBM is able to acknowledge requests faster and communicate quickly. And for IBM, your submissions provide insights into how missing that feature affects your project, which helps IBM learn about customers and prioritize more effectively.
How to submit an idea for IBM Security Verify

submissions here are private between the submitter and the Product team.To make yourself familiar with the idea submission form, take note of the following fields:
- Your idea – Provide one sentence or phrase that represents the idea for later reference. For example, “Support offline TOTP for Windows”.
- More details – Provide more detailed information about the idea to the product teams to help them understand the nature of the request.
- Idea priority – Choose how this idea affects your project or experience. You can rank from “low – nice to have” to “critical – showstopper” as an example.
- Company name – If you choose to add a company name, it helps IBM to filter by organizations for reporting purposes.
- Tell us who you are – this field allows IBM to communicate directly back to you for status updates and requests for more information.

In your Verify admin portal, at the upper right click the help icon (?). Click “Submit an Idea”. This selection takes you to the IBM Identity Ideas community. This community is a public community that lists all public submissions. You can vote on ideas that were submitted by clients. Voting establishes priority. You can also view the status of the ideas that were submitted and reviewed by the product team.
To add an idea, click Add a new idea at the upper left of the community page.
Remember, all ideas that are submitted here are public. Do not submit personal information (PII) or specific architecture. Also, any files that are uploaded are also visible to the community.
Status and roadmap
- Submitted – Idea was received. It was not reviewed by the Product team yet.
- Under review – Idea was reviewed and acknowledged, but might require more information to be accepted.
- Future consideration – Idea was accepted by the Product team as an item for future consideration. However, the timeline on the future release is not identified.
- In development – The idea is in development.
- Planned for Future Release – The development activity is completed and is being scheduled for release.
- Delivered – The idea was included and delivered into production.
- Not under consideration – The idea is not being considered for future release. For more information, see comments in the Idea.
- Defect - This idea is a defect rather than an enhancement. It is suggested for customers to open defects with support (https://ibm.com/mysupport).
