Message identifier format

A displayed or printed message can appear by itself or with other information, such as a time stamp.

A message consists of a message identifier (ID) and message text.

The message ID is composed of the following identifiers: PPPCCNNNNS
PPP
Is the IBM product prefix.
CC
Is the 2-character component or subsystem identifier.
NNNN
Is the 4-digit serial number.
S
Is the 1-character type code indicating the severity of the message.

The product identifier for IBM® Security Verify is CSI.
