Accessing a mobile application using single sign-on
Applications are accessible from the web or can be installed on the mobile device. In either cases, you can access it directly or through the mobile device web browser if you are entitled to the application.
Before you begin
- Your mobile device must be managed by MaaS360®. Otherwise, you cannot access the application.
- Steps to integrate MaaS360 with IBM Verify for identity and access management is completed.
About this task
The mobile device must have at least iOS 7 or Android "Lollipop" version 5.0.
Procedure
- Unlock your mobile device.
- Open the mobile application and sign-in.
Results
- If you are using an unmanaged mobile device, your access is denied.
- If your mobile device is managed and compliant with the MaaS360 policy, you can single sign-on to the mobile application.
- If your mobile device is managed but is not compliant with the MaaS360 policy, you might be able to single sign-on to the mobile application, depending on the conditional access configuration.
- If single sign-on is successful, you can access and use the mobile application. You do not need to log in with your target application account credentials. Otherwise, the mobile application is not launched, and a message is displayed. Follow the next actions accordingly.
