Changing your password

Change your password to make it personal, easy to remember, and secure.

Before you begin

Log in to IBM® Verify.

Note: Change password is only allowed for cloud directory and onprem ldap users.

When you reset your password, a new temporary password is sent to your registered email address to and your manager, if specified. Any other existing login sessions are invalidated and you must log in again on those devices with the new password.

Procedure

  1. From your user profile menu, click Profile & Settings.
    Your Profile page is displayed.
  2. Click Security.
  3. Perform two factor authentication if necessary.
    Your Security page is displayed and shows whether you enrolled any devices in IBM Verify.
  4. To change your password click the Edit icon.
    The Change password page is displayed.
  5. Enter your current password.
  6. Enter your new password.
    Note: A message is displayed if your new password doesn't meet the requirements for the minimum password length, or number of alphabetical, numeric, and special characters. Follow the guidelines when prompted.
  7. Reenter your password for confirmation.
  8. Click Save Password.
    A confirmation message is displayed.
