Customizing the user interface

Customization is the ability to change the default to tailor content, feature, or style based on specific requirements, interests, or preference. You can control the elements that are displayed in the user interface. Modify the color and text that users can see when they sign in to the product.

Before you begin

  • You must have administrative permission to complete this task.
  • Log in to the IBM® Verify administration console as an Administrator.

About this task

You can define your IBM Verify user launchpad here or use the toggle to disable Global settings and use the page header and footer from the customized theme instead. You can modify the default theme to customize the look and feel of Verify for your company.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Global configuration > Communication.
  2. Change the default values for the following options:

    Launchpad banner primary color

    Use this option to customize the background color of the Verify launchpad banner element. Its default value is #323232.

    Change the value to the preferred color. Follow the CSS color specifications for the value format. Colors can be specified by using their hexadecimal (HEX), RGB, RGBA, HSL, or HSLA values.
    Launchpad banner secondary color

    Use this option to customize the color of the navigation and dropdown elements on the Verify launchpad banner when selected. Its default value is #4178BE.

    Change the value to the preferred color. Follow the CSS color specifications for the value format. Colors can be specified by using their hexadecimal (HEX), RGB, RGBA, HSL, or HSLA values.
    Launchpad product title

    Use this option to customize the product name that the users see on the banner when they sign in to Verify.

    The title can contain any alphanumeric or special characters but must have a minimum of one character and a maximum of 128 characters.
    Launchpad product footer Use this option to customize the product footer that the users see on the banner when they sign in to Verify. Replace the text string in the field with your footer.
    Launchpad product logo Use this option to customize the logo that the users see on the banner when they sign in to Verify. Click Add file to select your logo. The logo must be either a .jpg file or a .png file. The maximum size for the logo is 100 KB.
    Note: Click the Revert to Default icon to restore your previous value.
    You can also click Reset to use the default values.
  3. Click Save.

    Otherwise, click Revert to return all new changes to their previous values.
