Configuring custom schema support for Microsoft 365

Manage Microsoft™ 365 schema extensions in Account Lifecycle and Account Sync.

About this task

You can use an application profile to add attributes that are specific to your company that are set when you add application accounts for your users.

Microsoft 365 refers to custom attributes as extensions.

Procedure

  1. Create application profile attributes for mapping the Microsoft 365 extension.
  2. Specify the data type of the profile attribute. See Supported data types for Microsoft 365 custom attributes.
  3. Create an application profile.
    You can create the application profile either during application creation process Create an application or from Applications > Application profiles. Fore more details, see Managing application profiles.
    1. When you create the profile, add the profile attributeId that you created and specify the corresponding Schema Extension id and its custom properties on Microsoft 365.
      For example,
      extkvbmkofy_myschema.customAttr
  4. Create the application.
    Follow the steps in Create an application.
    1. During the application creation process on the Account lifecycle tab, enable Provision accounts.
    2. Select the profile that you created
    3. Under Attribute mapping add the schema extension and map it to the appropriate Verify attributes.
  5. Complete the remaining steps in Create an application.
