Associating an Adaptive Access policy to an application

Associate an Adaptive Access Policy from the IBM® Security Verify administrative console.

Before you begin

To associate an adaptive access policy to an IBM Security Verify application, you must first identify the name of the policy that you want to attach and then select the Verify application.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IBM Security Verify administration console as an Administrator.
  2. Determine the adaptive policy that you want to associate with the application.
    To find the name of the adaptive policies that are available, take the following steps.
    Note: Policies with a lock icon Lockare preset and can't be used for adaptive access.
    1. From the navigation menu, click Security and select the Access policies tab.
      A list of the available policies are displayed.
    2. Select the policy that you want and note its name.
    3. Verify whether the policy is available for adaptive access.
      Click the Edit associated with the policy and check whether the Adaptive Access toggle button is enabled.
    4. Click Cancel to exit the policy.
  3. From the navigation menu, click Applications.
  4. Select the application. Hover over it and click the Edit icon.
  5. Select the Sign-on tab and scroll down to Access Policies.
  6. If the Use default policy checkbox is selected, clear it.
  7. Click the Edit icon to open the policy selection window.
  8. Scroll through the policy list to locate the policy you want to attach to the application and select it.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Save.
