Adding multiple data sources at the same time

Add multiple ingestion data sources when the ingestion data sources have similar parameters, instead of adding each ingestion data source individually.

1. Expand the data source menu on the table menu bar and select Add multiple data sources.
2. On the Data source type and protocol type page, select a Data source type and a Connector type, and then click Next.
3. On the Common data source parameters page, configure the parameters that you want to set for all the data sources. In the Name Template and Description Template fields, use the available variables to create the names and descriptions of the selected data sources.
4. If you have data sources that have different data source parameter values, clear the relevant check boxes.
   The deferred parameters are configured on the Individual parameters page.
5. Click Next.
6. On the Common connector parameters page, configure the connector-specific parameters that you want to set for all the data sources.
7. If you have data sources that have different connector parameter values, clear the relevant check boxes.
   The deferred parameters are configured on the Individual parameters page.
8. Click Next.
9. On the Individual parameters page, click the Download Template to download a CSV file template and add the parameters that you want to configure, in order.
   For example, if you deferred the Enabled and Language parameters, the CSV file must contain the following values:

   Enabled, Language, Data source identifier 

   Important: If you include a comma in a parameter, enclose the value in double quotation marks.
10. Upload your completed CSV file and click Next.
    A data source is created for each line of this file, except for empty lines and comments lines that begin with a hashtag (#). Each line must contain the comma-separated list of parameter values for the Data Source Identifier field, and any other deferred parameters, in the order shown in the deferred parameters table.

11. If you do not upload a CSV file,
    1. Click the Manual tab to specify the values for the parameters that you deferred.
    2. Enter a Data source identifier for each new data source and click Add new.
    3. Click Next.

12. On the Confirmation page, click Add.
