Create a JMS queue configuration

About this task

To configure a new JMS queue:

Procedure

  1. From IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, select Systems from the left hand-side navigation panel.
  2. Click the System Settings > JMS Configuration to display JMS Configuration tab.
  3. Click Add New JMS+ to display New JMS Configuration page.
  4. In the JMS Configuration page, specify values for the following fields:
    Field nameDescription and task
    Name The name of the JMS configuration instance. Required.
    Description The description of the JMS configuration instance.
    UserId The user id for the messaging server authentication, if authentication is required by the server.
    Password The password for the messaging server authentication, if authentication is required by the server.
    Confirm Password The password for the messaging server authentication, if authentication is required by the server.
    Host The host name or IP address of the messaging server host. Required.
    Port The port number of the messaging server host. Required.

    Provider Type The JMS provider type. Valid values: ActiveMQ; Websphere MQ
    Queue Manager Applies to IBM Websphere MQ only. The name of the queue manager where messages are published to. Required.
    Channel Name Applies to IBM Websphere MQ only. The name of the channel to connect to the server. Valid value: default=SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN
  5. Click Save.
